Modeling the impact of sustainable aviation fuel properties on end-use performance and emissions in aircraft jet engines

The present study supports the development and testing of alternative jet fuels by introducing a state-of-the-art mathematical model that enables for first-time accurate estimations fuel consumption in engines via employing collective impact most significant properties. Based on literature data matrix with properties end-use performances was constructed. Best Multiple Linear Regression combined quantitative analysis employed modeling procedure. developed Jet-model contains effects viscosity, density, calorific content consumption, p-values much below 1%. coefficient determination R-Square 0,993 indicates high accuracy, validation procedure translated into error 0,21% against internal 0,68% external data. applied to simulate performance commercial sustainable aviation fuels. results show changes relative standard kerosene oscillating between −0,85% +3,72% reduction carbon dioxide emissions vary from −3,22% +0,42% selected shows Sustainable Aviation Fuels have potential outperform their fossil counterpart not only terms environmental but also energy consumption. • Developed reveals jet-engine performance. outcomes represent aircraft's during cruising conditions. effect revealed. new simulated Jet-model.
